Lesbian Body Ritual
The Idea
How do you remain yourself in a world constantly asking you to become something else?
The Lesbian Body Ritual came from my need to build a sense of self stronger than what the outside world tells me. For me, grounding isn’t just wellness. It is how I return to myself.
The Story
Being a lesbian can be heartbreaking. We live in a male-centered world while existing outside of that center. You learn very quickly that the world may not affirm you, understand you, or even make space for you.
So I had to learn how to give that space to myself.
This ritual is me letting you into that process. It is deeply lesbian, deeply personal, and something I have shared with other lesbians for years.
Process / Ritual
Cleanse. Ground. Move.
First, I cleanse because sometimes I want you to start the fuck over.
Then, while still in the shower and still vulnerable, spray Blessing Water, close your eyes and ground. Usually, that is enough.
When of need of something more, especially during winter or when the world has worn on you, add the final step: movement. Massage the cream into my body to wake up yourself and get moving again.
From NOELE
This is grounding in a lesbian way.
This is how I move through the world. It is how I have taught other lesbians to move through it. And then I thought, maybe somebody else could use a little grounding too.
Story
Masculine Glamour
The Idea
Everyone sitting in the makeup chair deserves a full moment.
Being masc or lesbian shouldn't mean receiving less care, less artistry, or an unfinished face because traditional glamour wasn't designed with you in mind.
When I go to a gala, I take a gala shower. I put on a gala outfit. And I want a gala face.
The whole body deserves to arrive together. Masculine beauty doesn't need less makeup. It needs makeup that understands masculinity.
The Story
I've done masculine makeup before, but this was the first time I approached it by starting with masculine beauty itself.
That distinction opened up something new for me.
I wasn't trying to feminize a masculine face or remove the makeup until it became invisible. I wanted to explore what high glam looks like when masculinity is the starting point.
It feels like a new era in my work.
Process / Ritual
I started with the model's natural architecture and decided where I wanted the eye to travel.
For this face, it was the cheekbones, nose, temples and shoulder.
Instead of reshaping those features with contour, I softly enhanced them with light. The makeup follows what is already there rather than trying to construct another face on top of it.
Hydrate. Enhance. Highlight.
Get the skin incredibly hydrated and dewy first. Then choose your focal points.
Add highlight softly to the cheekbones, nose and temples, carrying that same attention onto the shoulder so the face and body belong to the same look.
From NOELE
High glam, the lesbian way.
Story
Choice
The Idea
For most of my life, femininity didn't feel like something I had chosen. It felt like the presentation handed to me because I was born female.
This look came from finally asking: If nobody told me what I was supposed to look like, what would I choose?
I didn't know the answer yet. So I started breaking rules until I found it.
The Story
This was a transitional period for me. I was moving away from societal femininity toward something more neutral, but I didn't know exactly where I wanted to sit yet.
I was learning myself in real time.
For the first time, I had room to think about how I wanted to present instead of automatically performing what I had learned a woman was supposed to look like.
So I shaved my eyebrows off.
Process / Ritual
Shaving my eyebrows immediately made my face feel less woman-like to me.
But I had spent my whole life seeing myself one way, and suddenly having nothing there felt strange. Humans walk around with eyebrows. I was used to having eyebrows.
So I started putting shit back there.
Xs. Shapes. Whatever the fuck I felt like that day.
I wasn't trying to replace my eyebrows realistically. I was using the space where they used to be to experiment.
From NOELE
I wasn't gender bending. I was bending every fucking rule I could find.
I didn't immediately know who I was supposed to become after letting go of femininity. That was the beautiful part.
For the first time, I didn't have to know. I got to choose.
Lesbian Makeup Looks
Beauty Care, Worn Our WayMakeup looks, faces, color, texture and rituals from the NOELENOELE world.
Soft Boi
Fresh skin, clean brow and a conditioned lip.
How to get the look
1. CLEAN + BRIGHTEN
Wash with Black Soap Cleansing Cream for a gentle cleanse and light exfoliation.
2. EYES FIRST
While skin is still slightly damp, tap Don't Have Dad Eyes directly around the eye area. It's lightweight and concentrated, so Noele likes it closest to clean skin.
3. GIVE YOUR SKIN WATER
Press Hydra Serum into the face for fresh, juicy hydration.
4. SEAL THE DEW IN
Follow with Triglyceride Cream to lock in hydration and leave the skin soft and dewy.
5. CONDITION YOUR LIPS
Start with Dyke Balm, then seal it with Top Coat.
6. ADD MORE DEW
Tap a tiny bit of Top Coat onto the lids, cheekbones and nose.
That's it. Your skin is the look.
Lesbian Makeup
Uncoventional
How to get the look
1. START WITH DEWY SKIN
Cleanse and moisturize first. You want fresh, hydrated skin with its natural texture showing.
No foundation. Your skin is the base.
2. BUILD THE CHEEKS
Apply NMODAH to the cheeks first. Then NEEL LIPSTICK to the face in circles; creamy pigment gives the next layer something to grab onto.
3. SET THE COLOR
Layer VERMILLION Powder over NEEL.
The powder sets the pigment underneath, intensifies the color and helps keep the eyes from smudging or moving.
4. ADD THE LIP
Apply DYKESET to bring the look together. Keep the rest of the face clean so the lip and cheeks get to be the focal points.
High Femme Glamour
Full glamour, high femme, and beautifully excessive.
How to get the look
High femme isn't about looking pretty for somebody. Your face is somewhere to make art.
Start with Don't Have Dad Eyes, then condition the lips with Dyke Balm + Top Coat.
Sweep NOELENOELE Velvet Shadow across the lids and cheeks. Don't be scared of the color. This is the look where you let it show.
Finish the lips with your Dyke Set: Dyke Balm first, Top Coat second, then lipstick last as your liner while the lip is still moist.
Blend the liner into the gloss.
Full color. Full face. Nothing held back.
1990's - Noele Favorite Era
Clean skin, strong lip and five-minute beauty.
How to get the look
Noele's favorite era requires very little: really good skin and a lip that does the talking.
Start with the same skin ritual:
Black Soap Cleansing Cream → Don't Have Dad Eyes → Hydra Serum → Triglyceride Cream.
Then the lip:
Conditioner → Top Coat → Scyldon.
Use Celadon last as your lip liner and blend it into the still-moist Top Coat.
Noele's philosophy: liner last does the blending for you.
No makeup-artist skills required.
Fresh face. Bold lip. Five minutes. Leave.
