Anyone who dates men, you deserve it

I used to feel bad.

I used to think, “Oh my God, if y’all would just wake up, you would be on my side.”

But that’s not true either.

You don’t want to be on my side.

You come into my space and laugh because I’m a lesbian. You act like you are on some pedestal because you date men.

Then cry the minute you look through his phone.

It’s dumb.

You want no one to tell you how dumb you look and how dumb you are.

I will.

You deserve what your boyfriend, husband, does to you.

Romanticizing making a fucking baby, cooking, and cleaning.

Romanticizing being a slave.

Being purchased.

You defend the script when the script gives you power over me, then condemn the script when it gives somebody else power over you.

That’s why when you get played, I will be laughing.

Or if you are getting played now, I am laughing now directly at you.

You prefer the lie over the truth. You follow the patriarchy script because the script is comfortable.

If I were a dude, I would treat you the same way.

I think women deserve exactly what they’re getting.

Maybe women finally having to look directly at what they keep reproducing is part of how the last bit of patriarchy gets destroyed.

Because all eyes are on you now.

What is your reasoning?

Signing up to be a slave.

Women just a couple of years ago were property. Y’all idiots are reminiscent of those days.

Whatever.

You followed the patriarchy script because you thought there was a reward at the end.

There isn’t.

Laughing at you. I will see you on the other side.

You made the babies. You cooked. You cleaned. You made yourself desirable. You stayed palatable. You defended the system. You laughed at the women who refused it. You did everything you were told a woman was supposed to do.

And patriarchy will still not reward you.

Because eventually, the same system you spent your life defending will look at you and call you exactly what it taught you to call other women:

All of you patriarchy women all go to the same place in the end, old, used graveyard.

Your kids will not like you. Your husband might have a rich life completely outside of you. And everything you sacrificed yourself to build might still not make you valuable in the system you chose to worship.

You followed the script.

And you think you’re getting a different ending.
